New Slot Machines Released In May, 2015

With spring on the way and the month of May behind us, there are some exciting times ahead for gamblers and online casinos.

We have been monitoring all new slot machines released throughout last month and there were some exciting games released with many more sure to follow as we prepare for summer.

Most casino software developers were working throughout the month to push out some new games, with everyone from Microgaming, Playtech, Net Entertainment and BetSoft releasing new titles.

BetSoft are usually praised for their graphically advanced games, as this 3D developer have released some beauties in the past, but May’s release Mega Glam Life was someway short of what we have come to expect. This is a progressive slot, but the graphics are very simple and there isn’t much going on with the gameplay either. Net Entertainment also excited us with a couple of new releases, only to disappoint us when we actually got around to playing them. These games were Stickers and Glow, two very simple and very old-school games that we will not be playing again in a hurry. They also released Bingo Billions!, which had a little more to it, but it still left a lot to be desired and we’ll be hoping that Net Entertainment can get back to previous form with their summer releases.

IGT did a little better in May, releasing Miss White, which is the sequel to Miss Red. There isn’t much difference between these two games, except whilst Miss Red is based on the Red Riding Hood, Miss White is based on Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs. This was IGT’s only release in May, 2015, but it was a good one and one that is sure to please fans of Miss Red and of the Expanding Symbol feature.

As for Microgaming, every now and then they produce something big and impressive. They were the very first developers to create online slots and the first to create progressive slots. However, between the big releases, there is usually a glut of standard ones. These are fun, but not mind-blowing, and their two releases in May fit this mould. Big Chef is a fun little game with a chef’s theme, whilst Ariana has an underwater mermaid theme, and is the simpler of the two.

There were some other, smaller developers releasing games in May as well, including Rabcat Slots who introduced the ancient Egyptian themed River of Riches. With a jackpot of 4,000 coins this game is geared more towards the small stake players, with a minimum bet of $0.01 and a maximum bet of just $2. There is a wild symbol and a scatter on this game, but with no bonus round and no multiplier, there isn’t much here to entice us and we wouldn’t recommend it.

These are the highlights, but there were also some classic style games released that didn’t really impress us and won’t be big hits with pokie fans either.
